Hi! I’m Caitlin! I am a creative soul. At night my dreams are literally filled with creative project. While walking down the streets I am continually attempting to mentally deconstruct fashions I admire or imagine how I might incorporate some element into my latest project. Often I dive into projects with no idea what I’m doing, but I figure it out and become a better in the process. I created this blog to share my learning experience and connect with others who want to create.
DIY runs in my blood. I come from a long line of women who practiced the old-fashioned arts of sewing, crocheting, knitting, tatting, canning, gardening, ect. In some capacity, I’ve been sewing, knitting, or crocheting since the age five or six when my mother helped me make my first doll dress. I spent the rest of my childhood collecting fabric scraps, buttons, and thread that I could combine in some often hideous piece of work. Among my prize posessions was a ball of pink yarn and a single crochet hook which resulted in an unending array of “braids” (long chains tucked behind my ears) and tiny dolly blankets.
